Back to racing - Vuelta Vantaa

It has been an odd Summer so far. In June I was ill for 2 weeks, and I'm still not seeing the improvement I've been waiting for. I had a really great spring and in June I felt super good. But then after the illness there is one good day and then three bad ones ending up with 0 progress. Not much to do about that, just continue spending time in the saddle according to plan and tomorrow I will be back to racing.

Fitness in June and July. Should be one upwards slope instead of a Alpine stage profile.

Tomorrow won't bring any glory or superior results, but it's the only way to get back on track. Still, there has been a lot of great things happening lately. I've met new interesting people among other things. There's an interesting interview coming up, some site updates and more during August. More about that later.

Vuelta Vantaa will be the third event this season, I have had to skip some events due to illness. It's a 102 km race, not that difficult, but the weather forecast have promised us some heavy rain and pretty hard winds. If everything goes as planned, we'll be starting with Jamie and Nigel early in the morning towards Vantaa, and depending on how we feel we'll see how we race.

My race number tomorrow

Hopefully I'll also see some familiar faces tomorrow and have some time to chat with people. So stay tuned for hopefully some good reports rolling in next week. And as usual, some pictures from the past few weeks below. Enjoy your weekend!

Midsummer riding in heavy rain

There was some sun during midsummer as well

Riding in the new Kanata team kit

A sunny day in Kakskerta

This means summer, nature superfood!

We also rode the Archipelago trail in July, a great day in the saddle. A story will follow!

We had a lot of fun, despite some showers!
